Lynn Schmidt owns Lynco Financial & Tax Services Inc - a firm specializing in Income Tax Preparation, Tax Representation, Wealth Management and Financial Services, Retirement Planning and Estate Planning as well as providing Accounting and Bookkeeping services for businesses and individuals.
Lynn Schmidt is known to her clients as their "Financial Resource". She believes in educating her clients and sharing information on various topics and is frequently asked to share these materials with their friends and family. She specializes in working with small to medium sized businesses and individuals with regard to their accounting, tax and financial needs. Her mission is to provide clients with complete financial guidance, and to help small and medium sized businesses grow and thrive by providing top quality, affordable accounting and tax services.
She helps her clients avoid the common mistakes made by many small business owners and taxpayers. She has counseled hundreds to avoid various tax pitfalls. She has "coached" many clients "slash" their tax bills utilizing a variety of tax planning tools, minimize taxes on Social Security income for various taxpayers, minimize estate taxes for family members, and help families protect their estate values. Her clients include business professionals; attorneys; physicians, dentists and veterinarians; sales executives, teachers, truck drivers, construction contractors, members of the clergy, and a variety of business owners. Lynn is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University (formerly New Hampshire College) in Manchester, NH with a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting. She has used her financial acumen to benefit not only her clients but also the community. She has served as treasurer for the Auburndale Police Athletic League, volunteered her time at a local food pantry and served for three years as a volunteer in the Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman program.
Lynn is an Enrolled Agent. Enrolled Agents are Federally Licensed Tax Professionals. EA's are required to demonstrate to the United States Treasury, their competence in matters of taxation before they may represent a taxpayer before the IRS. EA's specialize in taxation. EA's are the only taxpayer representatives who receive their right to practice from the United States Government.
Lynn is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), as well as serving as a past President of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents and has served in various other officer positions at the state and local chapters. In 2007, Lynn was awarded the "Excellence in Public Awareness Award" by NAEA and again in 2009 received the same aware from FSEA. Lynn is also a member of the National Society of Accountants (NSA), Florida Society Accountants (FSA) and the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants (PASBA). Lynn has also earned the designation of Fellow, from the National Tax Practice Institute. In January 2011; after completing a specialized training program, Lynn earned the designation of Certified Tax Coach.
Lynn has also achieved the Accredited Retirement Advisor® (ARA) credential by demonstrating her practical and theoretical knowledge along with her personal commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development. This credential recognizes professionals who have a thorough knowledge of preparing their clients for retirement and assist them in their understanding of the essentials of estate and trust planning. The Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT), is pleased to add Lynn's name to their National Accredited Professionals list. Lynn believes that these credentials provide her with the knowledge, tools and resources, to serve clients and help find solutions to various tax and financial problems.
Lynn was born and grew up in New Jersey, moved to Florida in 1993 from New York State. She now lives in Auburndale, Florida with her husband, Don. She has three children and three grandchildren.
